Systems Transition into Workday-Walmart Global Business Services

HR Generalist & Specialist (Contract to Full-Time)



During my time supporting Walmart’s People Services team, I delivered high-volume HR support to U.S. and Canadian employees—fielding inquiries, assisting managers with job changes, terminations, and benefit processes, and ensuring accurate records in Workday and ServiceNow. I was promoted from contract Generalist to full-time Specialist, reflecting my ability to exceed expectations, provide thoughtful problem-solving, and bring clarity to complex HR workflows.


This role deepened my expertise in HRIS platforms and global workflows—strengthening my ability to manage complex data, identify system improvements, and support large-scale employee operations with confidence. Within four months, I expanded from solely taking incoming calls to also managing chat and email support. Due to my consistency and initiative, I was selected to train new hires and helped employees transition smoothly into the updated Workday system.
